VAFI Selection comettee Linda Golik Horvat
Linda was born in 1983 in Čakovec. She graduated from the Design Studio at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. She is a longtime member of the Animated Film School ŠAF Čakovec, where she has participated in animated film festivals in Croatia and abroad and has attended several international workshops. As an animator she worked on animated fragments of Zoran Tadić movie „Do not Give Up, Floki!" and the film „Not for Sale: Excursion". She was the leader of the 2nd Summer Animated Film Workshop in Varaždin organized by VANIMA. During her studies, she exhibited at group exhibitions of photographs while the first solo exhibit was in 2016. in the Čakovec Culture Center. She participates in movie reviews with author videos. She is a member of Croatian Design Association and ASIFA Croatia.
Zvonimir Haramija Hans
Zvonimir was born in 1978 in Čakovec. In 2007 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in graphic class prof. Šišak. Since 2004 he has been involved in animation. He is working on various projects in Croatia and Zagreb film („Good Night Croatia", „Hlapić Sport", „Professor Baltazar") on animation, making layouts and recording books. He is also as an animator, working on several educational animated projects for the Austrian and German market, for Helbling Verlag („The painting", "The Goat" and „Time for fun"). From June 2009 to December 2011, he works at the Bold studio in Zagreb for animation and post-production. He is the author of a short animated film, „Monster Master", which was screened at several domestic and foreign film and animation festivals, and as the main animator, he worked on a short animated film „My Way" directed by Veljko Popovic (written by Svjetlana Junaković) . He is engaged in painting, illustration and animation of video clips and painting of murals. He performed animated videos mostly for alternative bands and performers, most notably the two spots for the Ohnokono project, which he worked with in collaboration with musician Konrad Mulva during 2013 and 2014. He has been exhibiting independently since 2004. He occasionally runs workshops for children in cooperation with the Goethe institute in Zagreb and the Koprivnica City Museum. Currently lives and works as a prof. of visual arts in Koprivnica.
RAFI Selection comettee Dubravka Kalinić Lebinec
Dubravka founded VANIMA - School of Animated Film in 1986 in Varaždin. Under her leadership, through eighteen years of work, about two hundred children made more than 60 films awarded at national and international festivals of unprofessional film. At the same time, Dubravka holds lectures for the teachers in the field of film culture – as part of the regular curriculum and as an extracurricular activity, in Varaždin and in other cities of Croatia. From 2004, she leads the media culture group for children on Second Primary School Varaždin where she works, called Dođi, vidi, viči. She continuously holds lectures and workshops for students and teachers, seeking to raise awareness of the importance of media culture. For that purpose, she made the web page. From 2015 she is again engaged in film-pedagogical work as leader of the Summer Film Workshops and regular groups of Creative Film Studio VANIMA. She is author of several animated films and unprofessional photographer. She is a schoolteacher at Second Elementary School Varaždin.
Sandra Malenica
Sandra is member of VANIMA since she was eight years old. First as author of animated films, then as a leader of group. She worked as a graphic editor in the local newspaper, program manager at the VAFI festival and the Cinema Gallery, and she was the director of the People's Open University Varaždin, now deputy mayor of Varaždin. The whole life is devoted to various types of art and cultural activities, and especially occupy by the media with an emphasis on animated film. After graduating from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, she graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb - Croatian Language and Literature and Comparative Literature, and is currently in the Postgraduate Doctoral Program in Literature, Performing Arts, Film and Culture at the same Faculty. |
