On January 20 submissions for VAFI 3 were closed. 183 films from 25 countries were submitted - 41 in the MINI, 92 films in MIDI and  50 films in MAXI category. A total of 568 minutes arrived from 54 clubs, from which 58 are Croatian. This is just one more proof that VAFI becomes the center of children's animation in the world because there are more than two thirds of the films from other countries.

Special guest of VAFI 3 is Sayoko Kinoshita, Vice President of ASIFA World and Director of International Animation Festival Hiroshima.

From Japan is also coming Dino Sato and Maya Yonesho, animators from Japan. They will hold an animation workshop, character drawing workshop and writing Japanese characters workshp. On VAFI we will see and two feature films from Miyazaki, Japan's greatest animator, who is also an Oscar winner, animated films from our guests, and a historical overview of Japanese animation.

Sayoko Kinoshita is also the Jury President and other Jury members are Miomir Rajčević and Simon Bogojević Narath. Selectors are Bajko Hromalić and Marko Meštrović, both ASIFA Croatia members.

The winning films of VAFI 3 will be presented on 3rd Internationa Bienalle for children in Emirates  and in Zagreb, in kino Tuškanac.

So, soon VAFI adventure will start!
